What's My Problem?

I have been in the biggest rut for the past 5 months. It's very frustrating. I feel like I am constantly having a post like this. I mean, what a huge failure I feel like.

Ugh!

I can't stop eating. This week I feel like I've put on 5 lbs.

I want to do something but I cannot do this on my own. Unfortunately, I can't hire Bob Harper from The Biggest Loser to come kick my tail.

So, I've been really thinking what has caused my lack of desire to loose weight. The root of my problem is lack of time reading scripture.

How is reading the bible anything to do with loosing weight you might ask? Well, for me my life should be centered around scripture and right now it is not.

My priorities are all wonky.

I'm getting up early (5:15am)to exercise or spend time reading the Word. But, I'm not.

I'm a slacker.

I am getting up early to start things for my day like laundry, lunches or sadly check out facebook.

I cannot do this without the strength and desire God can give me. Please pray that I seek to glorify God in ALL my decisions.

Whether you eat, drink or whatever you do, do it ALL for the glory of God. I Cor 10:31

I am starting a weekly goal or habit. I've got to start baby steps. My habit for this week is digging in God's word daily. I need to think of a cool title for my weekly habits. Any ideas? I'll keep you posted what God will be teaching during my time.

I just don't know what to type. I'm so mad at myself. You've hit the nail on the head.....let's see how long I can stay motivated.

Hi! I totally know where you are coming from. For almost 2 years I let myself regain the weight I had lost and even more. I kept saying I wanted to get on track but I could not find the motivation to do so.

Now I am on track.. but I honestly can't tell you what helped flip that switch.

Sparkpeople talks about baby steps too..... Taking a few small achievable steps is a good way to improve chances to succeed than jumping in with both feet and burning out or quitting because you feel overwhelmed.

Baby steps I like...
Drinking my water. (lots of it)
Tracking food.. journal or online
With spring coming.. maybe plan an active family activity each week.. hiking, or an outdoor game, frisbee golf, or even gardening.

You can do this!!!

One step at a time!
Bible reading is a GREAT first step. Make that a part of your day.. a good habit.. then add something new.
